Brulines changes name to Vianet Group plc (“Vianet”)

Brulines Group plc (AIM:BRU), the leading provider of real time monitoring systems and data management services for the leisure and forecourt solutions sectors, is pleased to announce that the group has changed its name to Vianet Group plc (AIM:VNET) and will begin trading under its new name and ticker VNET with effect from 0800 on 4 April 2012.

The AGM resolution providing the Board with authority to change the name from Brulines Group PLC was passed at the AGM on 12 July 2011.

The business has evolved significantly from when it was floated on AIM in October 2006, when the activities of Brulines Limited represented virtually all of the Group’s business.  The name “Brulines” is very much associated with the Group’s beer dispense monitoring services and does not reflect the wider nature of the Group’s other activities.  In certain markets, the name Brulines is not appropriate and can be both problematic and potentially confusing given the Group’s broader business activities.

The name “Vianet” is more reflective of the strategic direction and wider business capability of the Group as a whole, and more accurately describes the fundamental business of the Group, which is the delivery of solutions (be they leisure, fuel or vending related) primarily by way of networks and web-based reporting.

James Dickson, Chief Executive of Vianet, commented:  “Vianet has been driving the Group’s vending telemetry and contactless payment offerings. Over the past two years we have made significant progress in establishing a strong reputation for Vianet with its blue chip customer base and we will continue to do that, whilst continuing to develop the significant growth opportunities available across the Group.   These products and our unique data capture and transmission technology provide outstanding growth potential for the Group on a European and global basis.”
